Keeping hands connected

Posted by: () on Sat May 4 21:27:07 2002

The other day I found a link to a site which compared Palmerio's swing with that of a prospect, only the guy turned Palmerio around so he looked like a righty. From the clip it was obvious how much longer Palmerio's hands stayed in close and connected to his body as his hips rotated fully, and his hands only extended away from his body after contact, while the other guys hips stopped rotating sooner, and his hands extended away from his body well before contact. My question is this, what are the advantages of these mechanics and do you know any drills or stuff that would help with this. Also if anybody knows the site that i'm talking about could you include the adress, because I forgot where it was
