Re: Torque Technique

One last question on the torque before we go on. Major Dan said he saw an Angels player who hits very similar to this. Does anyone know his name? Although our results are very positive you "experts" are good at creating doubt. I'd like to look for this Angels player to see if there is a big leaguer using this technique or something s
imilar.

Richard,
I have been reading the posts on this and withheld comment until now.For fun I had my son (15) try this drill to get his opinion. He is a natural rotation hitter always has been inspite of my and others misguided efforts to change him since he was 8 or 9 thank goodness he was smart enough not to listen.Anyway I had him try this and his opinion was it was exactly the same "feel" as his swing. He did think he lost alittle by not having the bat in more "normal launch area".I suppose you would lose the momentum gained in bringing the bat down into this position but I would think it would be good toget the feel of rotating then you could move back up to regain the intial momentum gained early in the swing.I value this opinion because he has taught me much more about how to swing a bat than anyone.By the way he can hit!!!
