Re: Re: Large Stride

I have a very big stride as i swing, and this cause me to drop my back shoulder, and hence pop the ball up many times. I was wondering if anybody knew how to correct the large stride, so that i can hit the ball solid and not on my front foot?

Remember when your stride foot lands you want to have an ample amount of bend in it so you don't collapse the backside. You should be somewhat near balanced when you complete your stride.

Jake-
the hitman makes a good point. No matter how long your stride, you need to land on that stride foot and catch your weight on the front of the foot in order to be in a balanced position to rotate around a stationary axis (your spine).
If you are striding out but leaving your weight on your back foot, you will rotate off-center, more around your back hip. This often does result in backside collapse, popups, etc.
So stride to balance, then rotate.
