My son is 8 years old and last year when hitting against a pitching machine, he was able to nail a line drive almost every time. I figured this season he'd just be getting better, but he's late swinging every single time either missing the ball or fouling it off to right field (he's a RH batter). This isn't just an issue of rustiness because it's been going on 2 months now and he's still late. Is this common? Either way, any advice on how to get him back to turning on the fastball instead of being controlled by it? Thanks
