hitting change ups and curves

hi everyone .some times a batter gets a off speed pitch and his timining is perfect .the batter reads the pitch puts his front foot down at the exact correct time. puts a good swing on the ball and hits it hard no matter where the pitch is located in the strike zone.Thats the time the pitcher usally says I made a good pitch but he the batter crushed it anyway But many times a batter doesnt time the off speed perfect, he the batter has to learn a very small delay in his swing the front foot goes down delay slightly then swing and thats were the real skill of hitting off speed pitches comes in.if a pitcher throws a curve ball and a batter gets his front foot down a split second to early the batter has to keep his hands back. its easier to keep the hands back if a batter can keep that tuck in his front shoulder.until the swing starts he has to maintain his posture for a moment longer as the ball moves into a better spot to hit. thats why some times trying to hit off speed pitches to opposite field helps it does these thing automatically .any thing to stop the hands from leaking foward and maintain posture for a split second longer is good .when hitting off speed pitches
