My son is 9 years old has developed a fear of getting hit by the ball. He played first year kid patich starting last fall was was hitting .800 before the sendon ended. However, 2 games before the end of the fall season he got hit hard by a pitch. He has been afraid ever since. Needless to say his batting avergae is near .00. Also, before he got hit his mechanics were excellent. Now his mechanics are poor.
