Re: slow pitch softball

Have your mechanics been used by slow pitch softball players? What significant differences would be applicable to the game of slow pitch where the ball is pitched with an arc of 6 to 12 feet?

Learn the mechanics, they work. In slowpitch softball the key is to really wait on the pitch. When you find yourself reaching out in front to hit the ball resulting in hitting dinky little grounders at short "righty" or second "lefty" (and you will) that's your cue to wait longer. I learned this after much frustration and also adjusted my stance location such that my contact would occur at or just before my front knee. ( I have a slightly wider than shoulder stance with no stride)

I play in an unlimited arc league and man it seems like forever to wait on those really high pitches.

Good Luck !
