Re: SwingMate - Bat Speed Measuring Device

Posted by: BatSpeed.com (support@batspeed.com) on Mon Apr 8 21:20:58 2002

Hello Rush:

The SwingMate from Beltronics is a low powered radar, which means that it will not pick up the ball. This is very important because many radar units will pick up the speed of the ball and give inaccurate results. You can use it to measure swings off of a tee, against a bag or with any training aide that returns the ball to the same position, such as the Swingaway (anything that causes you to consistently swing at the same contact point) (thus it won't work with live pitching or soft toss). Accuracy is within 1 mph. You can practice alone since the "SwingMate Baseball" is mounted on a tripod. Provides the last 10 swing speeds and average swing speed over the last 10 swings. Also works great with golf, and it's priced lower than most other measuring devices.

These are the main features of the SwingMate. For more information click on "ORDER PRODUCTS" on the left side of your screen or check out Beltronics.com.
