Too many grounders

Posted by: Mike () on Fri Mar 29 08:46:08 2002

I have a little problem. After my dad pitched me, well i'd say about 200 balls at maybe i guess 35, 40, maybe 45 mph, i noticed i hit way to many groundballs. I'm close to 14 and i play in the babe ruth league. I lifted weights all winter and it was pretty tough and rigorous. It may be my batting stance maybe so i might as weel explain that incase any one has any suggestions. My feet are a little more then shoulder width apart and I have my knees bent. I stride like 4 or 5 in. I hold the bat well i would say maybe on a 75 degree angle, or if u can't picture that, like Ichiro Suzuki but my elbows a little more up then his. I hit more high balls on the ground and the low ones go half and half, in the air or on the ground. To give a little more info. i'm about 5 ft. 5 in. and 111 lbs. If anyone has any suggestions to help me out please feel free to tell me.
