Re: Bat Length & Weight

I am 5'9 140 lbs. Do you think a 32in. 24 ounce bat would be good for a strong hitter like me. Or do you think I should get a 33in. Will I get more bat speed and hit the ball farther with a smaller bat.

John - at 5'9" you should be using a 32" or 33" bat. Depends on what feels better. If in doubt use the 32". but try both first.
Why a 24 oz bat? High School is -3 time. at 5'9", 140lb you must be at least 13 or 14.
Your best bet is to go to -3 now. Get used to it. Develop batspeed with a -3. Also the heavier bat will require a more rotational swing anyway so you'll have to learn good mechanics while you get ahead of the other kids.
