Hi - A Student of the Game

Welcome to the site. -- What distinction do you see between "hips flying open" and "separation" (hips opening while keeping shoulders closed)? There are a number of coaches who believe that the more the hips open before the hands (and shoulders) start moving the better the results. What are your thoughts?
