To answer your first question... my first year in highschool baseball i had this exact same problem. Every single ball i hit was to right field or right center. The only thing i can suggest is that he takes a lot of swings off the tee, it always helps me. I grew out of it and by the time summer ball started and i was hitting to all fields again. One reason this might be happening is because he might not be getting his hips through fast enough... not positive though.
