Quick hands may mean something when reacting to certain piches. There are cases when a hitter is busted in where he needs to get his hands inside and out in front to make it easier to make contact--in an effort to project when he's deep in a count.

However, I don't believe that a well-timed swing at a pitch in the hitter's favorite spot requires thoughts of quick hands.
