So the conclusion is finally...you will roll your wrist to advance the barrel if you swing at the ball with level shoulders

I believe that is a physical absolute

If that is really true you would have to TILT the shoulders to align and release the barrel in one move to optimize the stretch and fire and keep the barrel in line to hit the ball with flat hands
