"Gettin' extended"

Posted by: tom.guerry (tom.guerry@kp.org) on Mon Jan 14 10:20:03 2002

I read acouple of interesting sports articles recently.I is on Mo Vaughn coming to the mets.He hurt his back ankle at the beginning of play with the angels which turned him into a "front foot hitter" which was no good for him.He works with "hitdog" Easler in Mass.(easton) now. There was a discussion of "getting extended" which actually made some sense in that it referred only to the sequence of swing motion. The idea was that the arms should extend before the wrists roll.No mention about extension in relation to where contact is made except that it should be before wrist roll.It wasn't clear if this was info from the hitdog or not.

The other article was about Wade Boggs dad who was a fastpitch pitcher who brought his son up using Williams science of hitting ideas.RQL-did you ever work with Wade's dad?
