Ok well thank you for something insightful. The first I have read. You obviously have a clue about hitting. The thing I wish people would stress is this: a weight transfer should not be focused on a rotation. See this is a lot more difficult to explain in words without being able to physically show you. But the old theory (well little league coach theory) of "squish the bug" is wat too many hitters do....and it is the lazy way of tranfering weight. As most of us know, if you do this, your upper body is almost sure to follow (unless you fight it and "push at the baseball;" often resulting in a weak bat head in the deeper zones anyways.....but if your upper body rotates, we all know you won't stay on the ball line for very long. And why do hitters like albert pujols display so much power? well yes it is in the weight transfer as well; but the guy swings like 5 ft long! :) ....at the end of that thing, think how much BAT SPEED has been created! pitchers better hope he does not catch that thing in the front zone! the weight transfer is more of a back knee driving through the baseball and less of a rotation....it will obviously sho up as a rotation and a forward weight tranfer with that back knee....but teaching it asa rotation can really screw hitters up....now i hope that makes alittle sense and i will be curious to see what others have to say back!
