Some of the reasons could be the following:

1. you are swinging to late
2. you are not picking up the ball in the release quick enough
3. you are pulling off the ball (foot in the bucket)
4. you do not have an upwing
5. you are not close enough to the plate

Solutions might involving:

1. practicing more in the cage or by having someone throw to you
2. focusing more on the pitchers release poing
3. striding toward the pitcher
4. practicing a top hand release in an effort to facilitate lead arm extension
5. get closer to the plate and or deeper in the box

These are some suggestions but it would help if you gave the board more information.

Are you hitting the ball well to the opposite field and or up the middle? Are you making solid contact?
