Reading my son a biography of Hank Aaron, the author stated Hank batted crosshanded(left hand on top of the right hand) until he was 16 yrs old.
> Could this have contributed to his mechanics and would this be a good way to teach young hitters the feel of rotational mechanics???

Good observation. It has been discussed here in recent months. It did affect his mechanics and resulted in a somewhat unorthodox style.
I doubt anyone would recommend that you follow that course (hitting cross handed) but it would be good to emulate the rotational style.
