Hi Tom,

The compression (crush) factor is relatively small (but it depends on the type of bat also.) COR plays a much larger role. even with a compression of 750, the distance increase would probably not be that impressive. But the thing is, air resistance plays such a large role at the high velocities we're talking about. Like Professor Adair said- "if someone tells me they saw a ball hit 550 feet, I'd be very skeptical, but I wouldn't bet the farm against it" Or words to that effect.
