"Question for Chris: You observe he slows a little in frames 6-7, I am also wondering if it is maybe because he doesn't swing through contact? From lag position straight thru to the power v. I am observing that after contact, his bat stays angled?"

He's definitely a little out in front/disconnected at the point of contact. He looks like he would if he had been fooled by a change-up. That's why I asked if he was trying to take the hands to the ball.

I think that's a bad cue because it can cause this.

Having said that, his swing is decent. It will work at this level. The only question is whether it's quick enough to catch up to a good FB as he gets older.
