Swing slowness - we are trying to address it by trying to keep the bat vertical as long as possible (into the rotation). That seems to quicken things a little bit. I'm just a hack though, not an expert by any stretch!
Hands to the ball - I don''t know, we try to keep them close to the body for power, but we might have been working curves the other way, I don't remember exactly.
