With my computer, this gives control of frame advance to my “left (<) or right (>) arrow keys on the key board. Some use their “mouse” to brag the button across the bar.

This has been very frustrating to say the least because I have gone to these clips and others referenced here numerous times over the years and have never been able to get a frame by frame clip. It has kept me out of the loop in breaking down swings and even debating here on this forum. I appreciate your advice but is there any other reason I cannot get my comp (1 year old)to perform this correctly?

Sam,
Try this.
When you save the clip to your computer.
Let's say it's on your desktop.
1) Right click on the file
2) You will get a list of items
3) One should say "open with"
4) Click on the "open with" option
5) Next you will see at the bottom "choose Program"
6) Click that
5) Choose Quick Time
6) If quick time is not on the list you will need to install it.

Also, your computer is probably set to open video files with real player.
Here's how you can fix that.

Once you right click on the file and locate the open with option and the choose program option
There will be a little box that you can click on that says,
"Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
Click on that box.
Any file that has the same suffix will then open for you in quick time.
Note: there are several video file types (suffixes).gif .avi .mov .mp4
You will need to do the same for each type.
If you e-mail me I can walk you through.
