I think 80% is a good number.

Also, this isn't a valid example because you're ignoring the concept of the kinetic chain and the funnel effect.

The hips pull the torso around which pulls the shoulders around which pulls the arm around. This process of larger body parts pulling smaller body parts magnifies the force that is applied to the ball.
