Teacherman and other 'authorities',
Play Pinball. Observe that the flipper hits the pinball with an undisputed CHP-ish path. To hit the ball optimaly on the flipper's 'sweet-spot' with regard to inside outside balls, the flipper must engage early (inside) or later (outside). THAT SIMPLE!
Ok but the plane of the pinball is horizontal and 2D. With high/low introduced, you would execute the same swing/chp/rotation but utilizing an acred bat path. Where is the lineararity????
