I have a question for you. The programs I have can capture video at 60 fps, deinterlace the video. Most people love this because you have more frames. Will your program do this? And did I understand you right you are going to have ML models with your program?>>>

Hi Shawn:

The batter shown is a division 1 baseball player with good rotational mechanics, as Jack defines rotational mechanics. (Not that you said anything about it, but to the extent that anyone sees linear in this swing, they have created a different definition of linear and rotational mechanics then Jack has defined it.) We have numerous clips from the front and side, and regardless of the pitch height, his swing plane is the same (bottoms out just before the bat becomes perpendicular to contact and angles upward to contact).

Using the swing analysis program, we have imported swings from homerun derbys. If we draw lines on the best pro hitters swings, we see the same upward swing plane.

The program will capture video at 60 fps. For most of the swings, we shot simultaneous footage from the front and side so that we could run side by side footage of the same swing. We used Sony DVD camcorders, but since the DVD records at 30 fps (after converting from VOB files to AVI), you are seeing this clip at 30 fps.

In my opinion, it is much easier to work with MiniDV or HDD camcorders, which store the footage at 60 fps, then you can use the analysis program to capture at 60 fps. I'm not sure if its possible to capture at 60 fps with a DVD camcorder.

Also, our program will not come with ML models installed. It is easy to record baseball games and transfer it onto the program for analysis or side by side comparion though.
