These clips aren't much longer than a few seconds. The most recent version of Media Player doesn't allow for good frame-by-frame viewing.

Right-click, select save target as, and put it on your desktop

Then, right-click, open with, select choose program, and find the older version "Windows Media Player" instead of "Microsoft(R) Windows Media Player".
