Is the only reason that Alfonso Soriano does that little like pre load in his swing before his actual load for timing?? Im guessing he just does it for timing. Watch this clip (wait for the slow motion clip so you can see it better)

He like does a little quick lift with his front foot and just wiggles his bat, and then right after that he goes into his real load. Now the question im asking is will this give you more power?? Or does he simply do it just cause it probably helps with his timing. It also reminds me of Derek Jeter too.
