I feel that Ty Cobb and Home Run Baker, along with Shoeless Joe Jackson used rotational mechanics. On Youtube, there is a good clip of Ty Cobb getting on the tip of his back toe. Ty Cobb once hit (I believe) 5 home runs in 2 games.
