Is this a "type" of rotational hitting?

Posted by: George (steddie@earthlink.net) on Sat Oct 2 16:05:49 2010

How would you label this type of hitting?

I recently watched some hitters who basically remain completely still and 50/50 balanced until the swing is initiated. At which point the batter's body suddenly "spins" or pivots in place -- with a circular handpath -- swinging the bat level or angled slightly down thru contact, with the follow thru finishing low rather than high. At completion of swing, the batter is still balanced pretty much 50/50.

This swing seems to be a simplified version of the rotational swing I have read about on this site or maybe a hybrid?

Thanks,
George
