Throwing the bat after connecting with the pitch

My 10 year old daughter continues to throw her bat after she connects with the pitch. On pitches that she swings at but misses, she does not release the bat. Only on the pitches that she connects with does she throw her bat. It seems to be an attempt to get out of the batter's box quicker. What is the solution? Thoughts on how to break her of this habit? For reference she is a right handed batter.
