Re: Swing Critique needed

Hey coach,

I took a look at your new videos of Steven. Great job on the adjustments. He seems to be staying better balanced, especially in the live game clip. Two little things I see, and you've already commented on them.

1. Make sure that his bottom hand stays cocked in the late stage of the load. Allows him to stay inside the baseball more and allows more whip at contact.

2. The front foot- He wants to open up his toe when he strides. Try to keep the knee turned in through his stride and tell him to land with a "soft front side". Find an analogy that will keep him from having a tendency to land on the heel first. Stepping on a sheet of ice, eggs, ect.

Question: Do you do any drills off the tee that emphasize the hand cocking mechanism, hip rotation, and body lean? If not I have two drills that fix what your wanting.

TTY Soon
