A: Shoulder rotation "speed" or "quickness" is important only to the extent that it (shoulder rotation) does not impede the "speed" or "quickness" of the arms/hands. Degree of shoulder rotation is what is important and the same could be said of hip rotation. <<<

It appears from your answer that you think batters who extend their hands (and knob) the quickest develop the greatest bat-head speed at contact? Do you think a video analysis of the best hitters (average + power) would support your argument?
