Hi Shawn

Sorry for the delay in my response. --- I kick my self now, I kept putting off taping McGwire’s swing. I had no idea he would call it quits this season. His earlier slumps in the mid 90’s were due to wrist binds cause from not properly accelerating the bat-head into the swing plain but I’m not sure that is his present problem.

Shawn, the problem I described in McGwire’s swing can place a lot of pressure on the back-elbow. --- Yes, extending the hands (or lowering the forearm) before the bat-head passes what some call the “lag position” (bat-head passes the catcher) stresses the elbow. You might also want to check and see if your elbow slides in toward your bellybutton. --- I would be happy to review your swing (no charge) if you send me a tape (front & side view).
