I would think if you used too much THT,you would be pulling the ball. I would suggest that you check whether you are leaning back or 'sitting' excessively on that back leg. Lowering that back elbow helps in generating batspeed early in the swing as the shoulders begin their gyration. It also allows the batther too stay inside the ball at all times provided they (hands) stay back in the swing.
Maybe you should record yourself from the side on video.
