Re: Re: Balance & Stockton Tapes

I am impressed with Bragg Stockton's tape on pitching fundamantals. He seems to emphasize using body in a rotational pattern to generate pitching speed. Does he have the same philosophy as you about hitting? Would his hitting tapes be a good purchase?

I haven't found one, but I did find someone on the rec.sport.baseball
newsgroup who made the following interesting quote:

"I returned a video produced by Bragg Stockton because it taught mechanics that have been superseded by new science. I do not know if he has a new one out. stay away from books or videos produced before the 90s because high speed cameras and the science of bio-kinetics has revolutionized pitching especially in the area of injury prevention."

Whether that is true, I don't know. Advertising for the tape states:

"Fundamentals of Pitching" video is the only pitching tape endorsed by Little League baseball. The video covers body mechanics, 5 phases of the pitching motion, a safe and effective curve.
