Lots of reps hitting, catching, fielding, throwing.

For hitting, get both of Jack's DVDs and study them too. Most of this will be way too advanced for him, BUT you will know where you are going and can head in that direction and steer way clear of the Linear hitting crap. In a lot of way's you are very lucky he's not older, but you've got to do it right and put in a lot of reps now.
