knob to ball/inside of ball

I wanted to touch on these cues for just a moment since I feel most work for linear and rotational just a matter of how they are interpreted and applied.1st let me say I feel there is a higher deeper load with outside pitch vs inside pitch, most hitters never can look away and adjust in so the idea of looking 1 or the other seems to fit most folks perception of look 1 or the other.Let me also say when I say look away then leave off the last 3 inches of plate and react in then leave off the 3 inches of inside of plate.Only when 2 strikes do we cover all 17 inches of plate. Thus you learn to be a gap to gap hitter ,hitting pitchers mistake pitches.
I feel knob to the ball is critical in the initial sense that our 1st lead arm pull directs the knob toward the ball ,on the os pitch this path straightens the lead arm and sets the slot elbow with a gap from the ribs. The difference in linear vs rotational is the knob extends longer toward the ball in linear and the knob curves in on rotational, less release of the barrel on linear more bat drag through contact area ,as for staying inside the ball it ties in here which is why I put them together .Naturally you cant hit at contact with arms o.s. of ball or you would get hit in forearm, but on linear mechanics while taking the knob to ball you stay inside the ball with hands [it is a visual]to not cast to not reach ,you can still pull or inside out [hit inside of ball oppo] The goal of the cue is to have the visual that casting only on away pitches still can allow for hands staying inside of ball.On rotational swing you 1st take the knob at the ball or at least you make a tighter cut of knob inside of ball that is for inside pitch and you quickly get your hands and knob inside of ball by shoulder rotation,if you were casting hands os of ball on inside pitch in order to hit it,it would need to be dratically pulled into dugout before hitting arms[not realistic].Try to see how the cue can work for the style you want but dont think the same cue means the same for thing for different styles, more later.
