THT pulling

Hey Jack, I left a post last month on not "Feeling" THT-BHT while swinging in a softball
game. Your response was appreciated, but I want to point out my error in my post. My
son and I were clearing some family land that had a lot of trees. Now I have cut down
hundreds of trees the old fashioned way, axe in hand, and I deceided to show my son how
to use rotational mechanics with an axe. As you know the axe head is heavy. I realized
after watching my son lag in his swing (hips, shoulders, came and went, then came arms
and hands with no thrust into the tree) that THT-BHT was not being applied. I explained
to him again what THT-BHT was all about and BINGO! he began ripping into that tree and
many more felt his wrath. When I asked him what it felt like to use THT-BHT while
swinging an axe his response was, "the axe seemed lighter and I could get more leverage".
In other words, from my position he was swinging with multiple archs at one time. My
error was in "feeling" my hands driving forward instead of pushing/pulling the bathead as I
have done with an axe all my life. I just hope this makes sense and helps someone out
there who needs to understand THT-BHT in a different way. Thanks
