Re: Maybe in your world

Black and white you say, well, then considering your "vast" knowledge experience in batting, please answer these questions. Is Bret Boone a born hitter? If so, why didn't he hit as well in previous years as this year? Is Luis Gonzales a born hitter? Same question? Another question, are great golfers born or is it possible to become a great golfer? If players (golf and baseball) are born with great swings, why does it take so many years of practice to become great if they have it when they are born, and after they become great why do they have up and down years, and go in and out of slumps? Do you remember the horrendous slump that Barry Bonds went into about two years ago, why would a born hitter like Bonds experience a slump where he could not hit his way out of the proverbial paper bag?

Remember, you said that its black and white (you’re born with it or your not), thus the mechanics of the swing are meaningless because you either have it or you don't. So in answering these questions, don't leave any room for gray areas.

Lastly, kidd, I disagree with just about everything that you said, but I think that we can agree that spelling and grammar are black and white (your right or your wrong). Surely you can help us engage in a more meaningful discussion by avoiding phrases such as, "swng hard nad make contact"
