Thanx. That was the impression I was under from reading a bit on the subject.

Same goes for the grip, does it not? The ball-bat collision is so brief (about 66 times more brief than the blink of an eye, I believe) the grip would have nothing such as a "stabilizing" effect that would impact the ball's flight, though it might sting your hands.
