well i think just about every player in the BIGS is a freak of nature
but the one thing that seperates the Greats from the average is
the mental aspect of the game, and it goes for all sports,
FOOTBALL BASKETTBALL, BASEBALL...im sure you have talked
to your share of MANAGERS and coaches and they would tell you
that MOST of the GREAT players are the players that combine
their rare and unique athletic talent with BRAINS or what i call
"VETEREN INSTINCS" and the drive to WIN...look at SOSA's early
days, he had all the tools but he couldent figure it out...but like i
said if i were to study any swing it would be the swing of a batting
champion not a HR champion, im not saying torque and
rotationinal mech. are wrong...infact rotation and torque are
natural fixtures in todays swing its the OVER stating that worries
me, if you look at the good hitters power or contact linier or
rotational i notice the same thing the the body is relaxed and
head is still, they let the ball come to them (gwynn really lets the
get to him before he pulls the trigger which is why he has
masterd the opp field hit)...i read a post here about a guy saying
"WOW i was using the rotaional mech. and boy i was really
loading up on the ball...but i was very sore the next morning"
thats the stuff im talking about if not properly supervised a
person get WAY too much rotation and could cause
injury...bigmac and caseco both tremeduse rotational hitters and
both have a history of back spasms, that you could directly relate
to the SUPER torque they generate...
