Sounds like a pro hitting instructor from my area. You arent from Kansas City, by any chance, are you?

I'm a professional hitting instructor, and I teach my athletes to swing level to the plane of the pitch. Therefore since all pitches come from a downward angle, a swing plane that is slightly up would match the plane of the pitched ball.
