hi everyone. I believe charlie lau, lau jr,tony gwynn teaching the high follow through . has benifits, its there way of getting their front shoulder backwards towards the catcher at contact.it can help firm up the front knee at contact. The high follow through can also help the batter keep the front elbow high at contact like john in the final arc 2 teaches to prevent the batter from rolling the wrists over at contact .which just results in ground ballouts. its just when lau and gwynn say pull the knob to the ball. they fail to mention a very important part of the swing. where the swing begins behind the head.so I belive teaching pulling the knob to the ball can lead to lunging. because it gets a batter only thinking out front but I must admit pulling the knob and a high follow through worked for gwynn and brett two lefty hall of famers
