It's my first time on this site, and I'd like to comment on rotational vs linear swings. First of all, Bonds is probobly not 100% sure of his individulal swing mechanics/dynamics. His statement of "throwing the hands at the ball" should not be evaluated without stop-frame photos from the top, back and front positions. Many times hitters will key on a particlar phrase, and if its working at the time, they'll repeat it with confidence. Both of the other guys who commented on Bonds may be correct in their assesment of Bonds being linear, but its tough to say. I've not seen him bat in person.
