Re: popping up

I beleive my son (17 yrs old) has a fundamentally strong swing. He does go through spell where he pops a lot of balls up. ( infield , shallow outfield ) I can not see what is causing this. Any suggestions what to look for, I do not want to make and major swing changes. I would like to have your thoughts.

Thanks
>>It's hard to guess without seeing the swing but you may want to watch for him staying back over the rear leg too much with his upper body, also the rear elbow leading the hands. He could just be late on some pitches,or his motor program and hand eye coordination is going to the bottom of the ball. For myself I would adjust 1st by either getting out front a little more and /or aiming for the top of the ball.Others may want to add to the list since it could be something completely else.
