Conflicting cues

The broadcasters were marvelling at Barry's ability to "keep the top hand above the ball" on #70.But what if you also have to "keep the bathead up" ? How would you make contact with the top hand above the ball and the bathead above the top hand? Just about as hard as "swinging down" and "staying back" at the same time.
