You ask a very important question -- is an "inside path" necessarily a productive hand-path? A more linear path is "inside the ball" but produces little bat-head acceleration from the pendulum effect of a CHP. This may not be important when swinging a short tool with a light metal barrel. However, it becomes increasingly important as the bat approaches -3 weight distribution. --- A linear hand-path drives the knob, a CHP swings the bat-head.
