hadios & a response to Mark H.

I will keep this brief and will not post again unless a post is directed at me. If batspeed.com wants to delete my reply in such an instance or this one then that is their decision.

Jack:

1) In re: "cheat" & "liar": There is a substantial difference between a statement and an inference.

2) despite the rather lengthy tome you posted you omitted my saying "I am sorry if I offended anyone of this board" Why???????

3) If I grew up in a part of the United States that uses the expression MO Mule then Jack you know what I meant since you are from MO.

4) I stand by my analysis absent an answer to my questions from you and a subsequent debate if necessary that the oar lock position will not allow consistant contact of a pitched baseball.

5) it is not my goal nor am I attempting in any way to destroy the business known as batspeed.com.

6) Jack look at and review your material> I am sure you will detect some linear hand movement in all your big league subjects. I ask, respectfully, that you consider amending your material accordingly.

7) I will respect as true your assertion that the e mail from Brian wherein you promised an answer to my quesitions was a "communication error".

Mark H: you mentioned a video clip of Pete Rose below. I am sure you are referring to the video HITTERS ON HITTING. I went back and reviewed the tape this evening. Even though the shot of Rose is from above and slightly behind and already in slow motion you will need to hit the "slow" button on your VCR to see the hand action. You will notice that at contact Rose's hands are AHEAD of his body... in other words SOME linear hand movement occurs. They are NOT in the oar locked position next to his body.

Rotational movement is GOOD. Jack's tape does a excellent job showing the "move around a stationary axis". Please do NOT neglect the hands and arms however.. BECAUSE you CANNOT!

I will leave the board with what I consider the greatest words ever uttered regarding acquiring the most heralded skill in sports.... that being hitting a pitched baseball: "Good hitters are NOT born they are MADE, THROUGH FAULT CORRECTION, CONFIDENCE and HARD WORK"... Rogers Hornsby. Do NOT just understand this.. LIVE IT! It is the difference between a good pro player and a hall of famer!

Best of luck to all!
