Re: re:hitting grounders

I rec'd a very conciliatory e mail from batspeed.com this morning and then another that my CC had been refunded so we will see if they are true and let me post reasonable respeonses.

Max: if you had read my set of circumstances that lead to my three questions you would know that my conncern was pop ups. IMHO the system, which causes the bat to drop below the hands is, a basic fly producing system. You will hit very few grounders with this system AND the higher you go in playing this wonderful game the MORE ASSURED that a fly ball is an out!

I've found the answer to my own question. Actually, my hitting coach found it. He says my whole back side is collapsing and my back elbow lowers to much, resulting in a huge upper swing, making me hit the top part of the ball. He told me to keep my backside "strong" and the bathead just start coming up JUST before contact. I made that adjsutment and WHAT A DIFFERENCE, I was hammering the ball.
> Rahkling, my poor hitting was not the result of any flaws in Jack's research. It was just from a little poor thing I had inserted into my hitting technique, so don't think that by using rotational mechanics that you'll hit too many grounders too.
