The coach will only be there for a little while. It is up to the player and his long term advisers (parents, paid hitting instructor, etc. to take responsiblity for his career.

Seems to me it is the coach who is not accountable. He is gone after a short time.

The lessons I would teach are about taking responsiblity for your own development and about separating the good advice from the bad.

In your humble opinion.

What would you have a player do when dealing with a coach who doesn't know what he is doing? Or do you think he should submit himself to the opinions of every youth coach he has, no matter if one coach is linear and the next rotational and the next clueless?
